Webmaster tools - Site Configuration - Settings

This tool allows you to set a Geographic target (country) which is nice.
Also to set your preferred domain but you still need to do canonical links (new window) in my opinion.
Also you can set the crawl rate here, which I generally don't touch and leave at the Google default.
