Webmaster tools - Diagnostics - Crawl errors

My site reported an error (see screenshot below) and lo and behold that error is a link from this page https://www.hardweb.com.au/seogoldcoast.html and the link is generated from code within the Google Website Optimizer Control Script which throws up two different versions of pages for testing purposes.
I have two pages in that test that one above and ver.B seogoldcoastB.html - no offline.

I took a strange drop in rankings on the search keyword "SEO Gold Coast" quite a while back...basically from my homepage being ranked number one or two, to this internal page replacing my good ranking homepage which seemed OK at the time but then the internal page's rank dropped drastically to 11 or 12 and the homepage never returned to the listings for that search.
I never figured it out at the time...I wonder...
